So last week, two of my nieces from Washington came down to get their senior pictures done by me. We had a blast! First we drove up to Sedona and took photos at Tilaquepaque. Neither had ever been and they had fun looking at all the galleries and cool buildings. Then we drove back down to Phoenix, went back to school shopping, and took some more photos at a local museum. They are both so beautiful and it has been a pleasure seeing them grow into strong, independant, beautiful young women with many talents and aspirations for the future. Megan is outgoing, a talented dancer, and smart. Katelyn is artistic, insightful, and intelligent. Both are so different, but because of that, they compliment each other so well. What can I say? I love these girls!

I am so proud of these new pieces I designed. I used a pearl paper pocket wedding invitation and cut the slits for the card and brochure so everything fits in nice and snug.
If you have fallen in love with the design and would love it for your own invites, contact me and we can work something out!

I have also included photos of our new gift certificates that come in a beautiful pearl quarts paper pochette, the actual 5×5 gift certificate all in a beautiful aquamarine pearl envelope. This is a great gift idea for baby showers for newborn sessions, at Christmas for a family portrait session. and so on.

I recently took on a project of photographing my whole family. These two were the last photo sessions from my side. This is my sister Kathy who is a year younger than me. When we were little, everyone thought we were twins because of our close age. It can be tough having a sister who is so close, but also a lot of fun. Kathy is an extremely talented hair dresser who has worked with me on a few of my weddings. Brooke is my step-sister who was in the same class as Kathy. When my mom started dating her dad, I thought it was so much fun that we had a new sister who was about our age. I look at her and her two brothers and feel lucky my mom married into such a great family.

This last week, I was fortunate enough to shoot Melemosiana, my 2nd cousin Vanessa’s newest baby. Her and Patrick got married a year ago and had the best wedding. She is half Samoan and he is from Tonga. If you have never been to a Polynesian wedding celebration, you are missing out! She danced a traditional Samoan dance for him and they had a group of friends from her Polynesian dance group do a whole dance show. It was so neat!
Now they have a beautiful little girl names Melemosiana, or Mosiana for short. She is such a beautiful active baby. Patrick is such a great dad, you can see how very proud he is of his new little girl and how much love he has for both Melemosiana and Vanessa.

I did a recent newborn photo session with baby Owen and was asked to design something beautiful for the birth announcement. Here is what I came up with, a flat two-sided pearl paper design. Here you can see the detail of the pearl paper (which is worth the extra $). I love how it shines! It is the perfect paper to add a bit of class and drama without being in your face metallic.

This wedding was special to us because the groom was the son of one of our brides from last year. Blane and Jordan were high school sweethearts and were so cute together! They decided to get married in Vegas on Valentines day then have a nice reception here for all of their friends and family. The place was beautiful and we got some great photos.

This last Saturday, we shot Kelly and Aaron’s wedding at Troon North Golf club in Scottsdale. Kelly was such a trooper! She had gotten food poisoning the night before and still carried herself with grace and poise. This couple and their friends and family kept us laughing most of the day and gave us some great photo ops! We also met a couple who were the videographers. They were great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a videographer. They are with Legacy Videography and you can find them at: www.legacyhdv.com/
